Synthesis, characterization and surface properties of Fe2O3 decorated ferromagnetic polypyrrole nanocomposites

► Emulsion polymerization leads to form nanostructured polypyrrole-Fe2O3 composite. ► Lauryl sulphate controls the morphology and form ribbon shaped polymer composite. ► Shielding effectiveness of 28.4 dB (SEA ∼ 22.6 dB and SER ∼ 5.8 dB) has been achieved. ► Ribbon shaped nanostructures can be used for conductive paints formulation.
