Processing optimization and piezoelectric properties of textured Ba(Zr,Ti)O3 ceramics

► Plate-like BaTiO3 particles with uniform microstructure were prepared. ► The (h 0 0) textured Ba(Zr0.085Ti0.915)O3 ceramics were fabricated with high degree of orientation (f ∼ 85%). ► Textured samples have the greatly enhanced piezoelectric properties. ► High piezoelectric coefficient and large strain were achieved in textured Ba(Zr0.085Ti0.915)O3 ceramics.
