The structural and spectroscopic investigations of ternary tellurite glasses, doped with copper

► For the first time we are reporting EPR and optical absorption studies of Cu2+ doped in TeO2-Ag2O-WO3 glass system. ► The EPR parameters were evaluated and correlated with the structure of the glasses. ► Various bonding parameters were determined and discussed in terms of the structural changes of the glasses. ► From these parameters the Cu2+-ligand bond nature has been estimated and the present results also compared with the reported glasses.
