Exact soliton solutions of the modified KdV–KP equation and the Burgers–KP equation by using the first integral method

In this paper, the first integral method is used to construct exact solutions of the modified KdV–KP equation and the Burgers–Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (Burgers–KP) equation. This method can be applied to nonintegrable equations as well as to integrable ones. This method is based on the theory of commutative algebra.
