Long term storage stability of Jatropha curcas biodiesel

► This paper is first time showing the storage stability of Jatropha curcas biodiesel (JCB) over a time periods of 6 months. ► It is found that after adding 200 ppm Pyrogallol, it is possible to stabilize the JCB for 6 months. ► Effects of various metal contaminants also were checked on storage stability of JCB. ► Cu is found to have more catalytic effect on deterioration of storage stability of JCB. ► Various other physico-chemical properties of JCB were also checked with respect to storage time of 6 months.
