► The study presents pioneering on-line emission data from an amine based CC pilot. ► The effect of operational settings on amine emissions is investigated. ► The flue gas temperature difference over the washing section is dominant. ► The importance of a well-designed washing section is emphasized. ► Obtained knowledge will be of great use for the future installations.
