Double-porosity model for tracer transport in reservoirs having open conductive geological faults: Determination of the fault orientation

► It is developed an analytical model for tracer tests in reservoirs having conductive geological faults, which are open to external flow. ► Injection and production wells do not necessarily touch the fault zone, which is considered a fractured media. ► Model can provide fault properties by data fitting, particularly the fault orientation. ► Model has been successfully applied to a real reservoir tracer data.
