Spectral reflectance properties of carbonaceous chondrites - 5: CO chondrites

► We examine spectral reflectance properties of CO carbonaceous chondrites. ► We analyze the spectra in terms of mineralogy, metamorphic grade and grain size. ► CO spectra exhibit absorption features near 1 and 2 μm due to olivine (+glass) and spinel. ► CO spectra become brighter with increasing metamorphic grade. ► Absorption features become deeper with increasing metamorphic grade.
