Production of neutral species in Titan's ionosphere through dissociative recombination of ions

► The dissociative recombination of ions in the ionosphere of Titan is studied. ► We provide the first estimation of the production rates of neutrals by DR. ► We show that the commonly used H-loss scheme for DR is non-representative. ► DR is a major source of reactive radicals. ► DR has a strong feedback on the densities of minor neutrals species.
