Modeling the effect of atmospheric gravity waves on Saturn's ionosphere

► We model the layered structure in Saturn's lower ionosphere. ► It is demonstrated that gravity waves can drive large peaks in the electron density. ► Best fits are obtained for Cassini's S08 entry, S68 entry and S56 exit occultations. ► The wave wavelengths, periods, and amplitudes are presented.
