The 1.10- and 1.18-μm nightside windows of Venus observed by SPICAV-IR aboard Venus Express

► We analyze 1.10- and 1.18-μm SPICAV-IR spectra of Venus' night side. ► We constrain the CO2 lineshape and continuum absorption. ► We assess different CO2 and H2O line lists and investigate the role of HDO. ► H2O mole fraction is 30-5+10 ppmv at 5-25 km.
