Limits on the size and orbit distribution of main belt comets

► We develop quantitative search algorithms for faint tails and comae. ► Using these code, we find no main-belt comet (MBC) candidates in the TALCS data. ► We present evidence for very low-level tail activity in about 5% of our sample. ► We determine that the MBC:MBA ratio is <1:400 for H < 21.0. ► We statistically argue that the contemporary snow line is beyond 2.5 AU.
