Interaction between magnetic clouds and the heliospheric current sheet at 1Â AU as it is observed by one single observation point

► This work studies the magnetic cloud and heliospheric current sheet relationship. ► A new procedure is developed to do this in a systematic way. ► MCs seems to affect in a very effective way the local orientation of the HCS. ► The MCs where detected inside unique magnetic sectors out of the sector boundary. ► Our results suggest a MC pushing and deforming the HCS local plane.
