Single crystal growth and characterization of kagomé-lattice shandites Co3Sn2−xInxS2

• Successful growth of Co3Sn2−xInxS2 crystals out of self and Pb flux is reported.
• The composition of the grown crystals was investigated by WDX spectroscopy.
• The crystal structure was investigated by XRD and Rietveld analysis.
• Trigonal distortion and the 2D character are enhanced upon In-substitution.
• The magnetic phase diagram is obtained and indicates a magnetic transition at xc=0.8.
