Effect of replacing calcium oxide with calcium halide on crystallization and some physical properties of calcium vanadium phosphate glass ceramics

► Replacing oxygen ions by halide ions decreases glass transition temperature and thermal stability. ► Replacing oxygen ions by halide ions increases electrical conductivity and decreases activation energy. ► Replacing oxygen ions by halide ions enhances the tendency of glass ceramic and decreases the crystallization activation energy.
