The kinetics of the glass transition in the As10Se90 chalcogenide glass was studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique The activation energy of the glass transition was determined from the heating rate dependence of the glass transition temperature. Different kinetic models as well as isoconversional methods were used. Isoconversional analysis of the experimental data shows that the activation energy of glass transition process is not constant but varies with the degree of transformation (and hence with temperature) from the glassy to the supercooled phase. The variability of the activation energy with temperature was correlated with the dynamic fragility parameter in comparison with the previously published data of the glassy selenium.
