The completeness of registration (100% in 2007) and the quality of registration (82%), with a reduced proportion of DCO cases (from 12% in 2000 to 7% in 2007), confirm the reliability of the Wielkopolska Cancer Registry. The updated WCR database allows to assess the effectiveness of cancer therapy on the basis of five-year survival rates.
