High-expression of ZBP-89 correlates with distal metastasis and poor prognosis of patients in clear cell renal cell carcinoma

► We examined the expression of ZBP-89 in CCRCC and renal tissues by RT-PCR, Western Blot and IHC. ► ZBP-89 expression was downregulated in CCRCC tissues compared with adjacent kidney tissues. ► ZBP-89 expression in CCRCC was significantly correlated with malignant phenotype features. ► ZBP-89 protein expression is an independent prognostic factor in CCRCC patients.
