A guanosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (cGMP) reporter system based on the G-kinase/CREB/CRE signal transduction pathway

► We developed a new reporter method for measurement of cGMP using CRE and G-kinase. ► cGMP is a vital intracellular messenger and synthesized by guanylate cyclase (GC). ► The receptor-type GC-expressed cells with this reporter responded to its ligand. ► This reporter enables efficient screening for GC agonists for clinical applications.
