Temperature dependence rigidity of non-taxol stabilized single microtubules

► Flexural rigidity of microtubules polymerized in the presence of GMPCPP and GTP only were measured. ► Values were fivefold (for GMPCPP) and threefold (for GTP) those of taxol-stabilized microtubules. ► Temperature dependence of rigidity was observed in GTP and GMPCPP state (only without taxol). ► Results indicate that rigidity is associated with the tubulin each nucleotide states.
