24-Epibrassinolide modulates growth, nodulation, antioxidant system, and osmolyte in tolerant and sensitive varieties of Vigna radiata under different levels of nickel: A shotgun approach

► Nickel decreased nodule characteristics in the concentration dependent manner. ► 24-EBL induced up-regulation of antioxidant system and osmolyte. ► Pre-sowing seed soaking treatment with 24-EBL to the nickel stressed plants improved growth, and nodulation. ► Shotgun approach ameliorated nickel stress through elevated antioxidant system.
