Isoforms of plasma membrane H+-ATPase in rice root and shoot are differentially induced by starvation and resupply of NO3− or NH4+

▶ Isoforms OsA2 and OsA7 displayed the strongest induction in response to N resupply. ▶ Isoforms of PM H+-ATPases showed different induction in shoot and roots. ▶ Different isoforms of PM H+-ATPases were induced by NO3− and NH4+ resupply. ▶ Nitrogen starvation did not show induction of any isoforms of PM H+-ATPases.
