Pastoral farmland habitat diversity in south-east Ireland

► The primary determinant of habitat composition on Irish farmland is farm system i.e. dairy versus non-dairy. ► Intensively managed grassland is more associated with dairy farming. ► Participation in the Irish AE Scheme (REPS) is closely associated with the proportion of semi-natural habitat recorded on survey farms.
