Le patient sous chimiothérapie doit donc faire l’objet de soins bucco-dentaires précis. Un bilan est impératif avant le début de traitement, notamment en cas de port d’appareil orthodontique ou de prothèse. Durant le traitement, le recours aux soins bucco-dentaires dépendra du bilan sanguin, mais une hygiène rigoureuse sera nécessaire. La régularité et la méticulosité de ces soins devront perdurer en phase post-chimiothérapie.
