Data Mining Study on the Law of Compatibility of Nature, Flavor, and Channel Tropism in Formulae Using Computer Visualization Technology

The law of compatibility in formulae on nature, flavor, and channel tropism in the treatment of different Zheng was investigated. By computer visualization technology the natures, flavors, and channel tropisms of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in formulae were converted into distribution profiles. The common and different parts of the distribution profiles from the formulae, corresponding to different Zheng, were concluded. The functional characters of blood stagnation, blood deficiency, and blood heat, under blood stagnation, were analyzed and compiled using the traditional medical theory. The computer visualization technology on nature, flavor, and channel tropism of the formulae could be applied to the study on the law of compatibility. It was objective, accurate, and the same with tradition medical theory.
