Overview on External Contamination Sources in Traditional Chinese Medicines

External contamination sources (pesticide residues, heavy metals, solvent residues, and aflatoxin) and measurements and restriction standards that were published in previous studies, along with the authors' data were analyzed. It was found that the key to addressing the contamination is to place contamination source under control using mandatory standards.
