• Destruction of refractory concrete by low level laser.
• Influence of refractories sintering temperature on destruction level.
• Measuring of damage size by mechanical comparator and image analysis.
• Best results show the samples sintered at 1600 °C.

Low level laser (LLL) was applied to induct destruction of the low cement high alumina refractory concrete (LCC) samples. Three different series of samples were used in the experiment: a reference one dried at 105 °C, sintered at 1300 °C and sintered at 1600 °C. Level of destruction during time interval from 5 to 25 min was monitored by measuring surface and depth of damage. Obtained results shown that minimal level of destruction was observed for the samples sintered at 1600 °C for the whole time interval.
