Variabilité interindividuelle de la réponse à l'alimentation : une question de gènes ?

Before providing personalized nutrition recommendations for prevention of chronic human diseases, it is necessary to identify the factors that explain interindividual variability in response to diet. Genetic epidemiology studies, which have considerably evolved since the sequencing of the human genome, have provided some insights into the interaction between genes and nutrients and their impact on chronic diseases. Based on several examples, this review focuses on genetic variations associated with metabolism of nutrients on the one hand, and on the intervention studies that analyze the impact of such genetic variations on the response to diet on the other.
