ZusammenfassungDie Beobachtung und Testung bei Patienten mit Epilepsie erfordert von der /dem MTA eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit und Kenntnis von Anfallsgeschehen. Sie gehören im EEG-Labor oftmals zu den ersten Kontaktpersonen und können mit einer gezielten Testung des Bewusstseinszustandes des Patienten wichtige Informationen für den behandelnden Arzt erbringen. Das EEG selbst und im günstigsten Fall die begleitende Videoaufzeichnung können zusammen mit diesen Zusatzinformationen für die Diagnosestellung und Behandlung der Epilepsie eine gesicherte Grundlage liefern.Im Folgenden werden Empfehlungen für einen Testablauf beschrieben, wie er sich in unserer Klinik für Epilepsie im EEG Monitoring bewährt hat.

They are often the first contact in the EEG laboratory and can gain important information for the doctor in charge through targeted testing of the patient́s state of consciousness. This additional information together with the EEG itself and, ideally, the videorecording thereof, can deliver a secure basis for the diagnosis and the treatment of epilepsy.
