Mixed-ligand terbium terephthalates: Synthesis, photophysical and thermal properties and use for luminescent terbium terephthalate thin film deposition

► New luminescent mixed-ligand terbium terephthalates were synthesized. ► Their photophysical and thermal properties were studied. ► Complexes with triphenylphosphine oxide were used as precursors for the first deposition of terbium terephtalate thin films.
