Test de Emparejamiento Semántico de Imágenes para la exploración neuropsicológica en la afasia

ResumenIntroducciónLa necesidad en la práctica clínica e investigativa de la neurolingüística en Cuba de un instrumento neurocognitivo para la exploración por vía visual del sistema semántico en pacientes afásicos, previo a la evaluación neurolingüística, condicionó que se proyectara el diseño, construcción y validación del Test de Emparejamiento Semántico de Imágenes.ObjetivoMostrar la metodología utilizada para la construcción y la validación de apariencia y de contenido del test.Sujetos y métodosFueron seleccionadas 2 muestras, una de 288 sujetos sanos y otra de 9 jueces expertos. Con los sujetos sanos se realizó una aplicación piloto de una Primera Versión Preliminar del Test, conformada por 52 láminas. Los ítems que alcanzaron en esta aplicación un coeficiente de variabilidad inferior a 0,3 constituyeron la Segunda Versión Preliminar del Test, conformada por 46 láminas. Esta fue sometida al criterio de expertos mediante una Entrevista y una Encuesta, en función de determinar su validez de apariencia y de contenido.Resultados y conclusionesSe obtuvo la Versión Final del Test de Emparejamiento Semántico de Imágenes. El test quedó conformado por 42 ítems, 40 como estímulos y 2 como ensayo. Cada ítem estuvo constituido por 2 dibujos pertenecientes a categorías semánticas biológicas o no biológicas. En 21 ítems, ambos dibujos pertenecen a la misma categoría semántica y en los otros 21 ítems, a categorías semánticas diferentes. Esta versión muestra validez de apariencia y validez de contenido, así como utilidad para la evaluación del procesamiento semántico de información en pacientes afásicos.

IntroductionThe need in the neurolingüístics investigative and clinical practice in Cuba, of a neurocognitive test, in order to evaluate the access to the semantic system through vision in aphasic patients, before to neurolingüístics assessment, made possible to project the construction and validation of the Semantic Picture Association Test.ObjectiveTo show the methodology used for the construction of the test, and to validate the appearance and content of it.Subjects and methodsWas selected a sample of 288 subjects with intact brains and a sample of 9 expert judges. A First Preliminary Version of the test was applied to the subjects with intact brains. The test was formed by 52 illustrations with 2 images. The items that obtained a variability coefficient less than 0.3 in this pilot application constituted the Second Preliminary Version of the test (formed by 46 illustrations). This second version was subjected to the approval by the experts’ criteria through an Interview and a Survey, for determining its validity of appearance and content.Results and conclusionsWe obtained a Final Version of the Semantic Picture Association Test, with validity of appearance and content. This is formed by 42 illustrations, 40 of them as items and 2 of them to be tried out previously by the individuals. All items have 2 pictures that form part of the same semantic category or not: any represent biological categories and other represent no biological categories. The test is proven to be useful for evaluating the semantic system in aphasic patients.
