Is diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy currently appropriate?: Suggestions for improvement

This chapter addresses the areas where endoscopy is falling short and suggests what can be done to improve practice. Changes are needed in management, information technology, education, team working, quality, patient comfort and safety. There also remain a number of areas where improved technology may be able to reduce human error.
