Abcès de la cloison nasale. À propos d'un cas

RésuméIntroductionL'abcès de la cloison nasale est une infection rare et grave, du fait des complications qu'il peut engendrer. Les auteurs rapportent un nouveau cas d'abcès septal à origine indéterminée probablement dentaire.ObservationIl s'agit d'un homme de 47 ans qui consulte pour obstruction nasale bilatérale et rhinorrhée depuis trois jours évoluant dans un contexte infectieux. L'examen clinique ainsi que l'imagerie TDM ont objectivé un abcès septal antérieur. Le patient a eu un drainage chirurgical associé à une triple antibiothérapie, avec bonne évolution au bout de dix jours. Le bilan étiologique est en faveur d'une étiologie dentaire.ConclusionIL s'agit d'une pathologie infectieuse rare et grave de la cloison nasale. Nous profitons de ce nouveau cas d'abcès rare de la cloison pour rappeler les différentes étiologies, leur prise en charge et tout en insistant sur le traitement préventif de cette affection.

IntroductionAbscess of the nasal septum is a rare and serious infection, because of the complications which it can generate. The authors report a new case of nasal septum abscess probably of dental origin.ObservationA 47-year-old man consulted for bilateral nasal obstruction and rhinorrhea for 3 days with fever. The clinical examination as well as TDM imagery revealed a septal abscess. The patient underwent surgical drainage associated to triple antibiotherapy, with a good evolution at the end of 10 days. The etiologic assessment suggested dental infection.ConclusionThis is a rare and serious infection of the nasal septum. This new case of rare abscess of the nasal septum gives us the opportunity to describe out the various etiologies, their management, and to insist on the preventive treatment of this infection.
