Monotonic similarity measures between fuzzy sets and their relationship with entropy and inclusion measure

The aim of this study is to investigate the monotonicity properties of similarity measures. Through analyzing the intuitions about similarities, three kinds of monotonic similarity measures of fuzzy sets are presented. Furthermore, their properties and their relationship with entropy and inclusion measure are studied and discussed. Finally, some existing monotonic similarity measures in the literature are summarized and classified into the proposed monotonic similarity measures.
