Tumours of chromaffin cell origin: phaeochromocytoma and paraganglioma

This article provides a comprehensive review of what we understand about tumours of chromaffin cell origin. It covers both adrenal tumours as well as extra-adrenal paragangliomas. The review encompasses definitions, incidence and epidemiology, practical aspects of day-to-day histopathology of these tumours, concepts regarding biologic behaviour and strategies of how we currently try to predict malignancy.
