The Analysis of Skeletal Characteristics of a Finless Porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides) Discovered in Yeon-do island, Yeosu-si

A finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides) was discovered in the coast of Yeon-do island, Yeosu-si, Korea on 19 June 2008. The finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides) was a juvenile. The body length was 126cm and the weight was 24.5kg. In this study, the skeletal specimen of the finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides) was measured, described and analyzed. The purpose of this study is to offer basic data for the future research on the finless porpoise from Korea.
