Turbulent diffusion with gravitational settling in a capped atmospheric boundary layer – An analytical solution

The general solution of the turbulent diffusion equation for a capped atmospheric boundary layer and including gravitational settling of large particles is examined. A revised analytical solution that corrects problems with the earlier work of Rounds (1955) is presented.
