The 1954 International Conference on Experimental Meteorology in Zurich, Switzerland

A translation is given of the 1954 report (by the author) of the International Conference on Experimental Meteorology in Zurich, the first in the fields of cloud physics and weather modification. It gives a flavor of the issues and topics of interest of the leaders in the field. A historical note also gives a short overview of the Swiss hail prevention and research activities.
