Off-site transport of pesticides from two horticultural land uses in the Mt. Lofty Ranges, South Australia

► Several fungicides and insecticides were detected in surface drainage water many (>100) days after the last field application. ► Some pesticides (e.g. carbaryl) were detected only in the first couple of runoff events after the last field application. ► Other pesticides (e.g. chlorpyrifos and fenarimol) were detected for up to three months once runoff commenced.
