Increase in Cladosporium spp. populations and rot of wine grapes associated with leaf removal

►This paper contributes significantly to the understanding of the impacts of canopy management on the development of grapevine diseases. ►Unlike the reductions caused by leaf removal in other berry fungal diseases (e.g., Botrytis cinerea), here we demonstrate for the first time that leaf removal increases the population of Cladosporium spp. ►This is an important finding with both practical significance to vineyard managers and academic value.
