• Korean species of Schoenobiinae are reviewed and 4 genera and 10 species are recognized.

• Diagnostic characters as well as descriptive characters are provided with photos of adults and male and female genitalia.
The Korean species of Schoenobiinae are reviewed. A total of four genera and 10 species are recognized. Among these, three species: Schoenobius sasakii Inoue, Scirpophaga excerptalis (Walker), and Scirpophaga gotoi Lewvanich, are reported for the first time from Korea, and Scirpophaga praelata (Scopoli) is reported for the first time from South Korea. In addition, the occurrence of Scirpophaga xanthopygata Schawerda in Korea is reconfirmed. Diagnoses and photos of adults and genitalia are given for the species available for this study. A key to the Korean species of Schoenobiinae is also provided.
