Simplified behaviors from increased heterogeneity: I. 2-D uranium transport experiments at the decimeter scale

► We performed two experiments in large tanks (~ 2 m) simulating uranium transport. ► We examine connections between physical/chemical heterogeneity and uranium transport. ► Decimeter scale physical heterogeneities do not affect global uranium output. ► Some chemical relationships are similar between the 2 m scale and batch scale experiments.
