Resolving sea level contributions by identifying fingerprints in time-variable gravity and altimetry

► We separate sea level contributors using GRACE-gravimetry and Jason-1 altimetry. ► We consider major ice sheets, land glaciers , GIA, hydrology and steric changes. ► We assume fixed spatial signatures and unknown temporal components in the inversion. ► Separability and errors of the joint inversion scheme have been quantified. ► The inversion results parameterize a significant part of the altimetry data.
