Bottom-up synthesis of CSNPs trough hydrothermal-precipitation method provides well-control condition for investigating the effect of shell thickness. Here, a series of core-shell ZSM-5@MnO nanocatalysts with different shell thickness from 6.3 to 13.7Â nm successfully structured for using in MTO process. Aging time as effective factor of precipitation method could exactly control time-dependence thickness of MnO shell. Assembling the cubic shell on the surface of ZSM-5, could change the shape selectivity of catalysts toward ethylene production and improved catalytic activity of nanocatalysts. Combination catalytic functionality of metal oxide shell and zeolite core by changing the path of coke formation could significantly enhance the stability of zeolite@metal oxide nanocatalysts in long terms time on stream.229
