Novel fluorine doped TiO2/diatomite composites with visible-light responding activity were successfully synthesized. The fluorine doping induced oxygen vacancies and much more exposed (001) facets, as well as the carrier effect (smaller grain size, better distribution and enhanced adsorption ability) contributed to the enhanced photocatalytic activity.389
