A novel mesoporous Pd/cobalt aluminate bifunctional catalyst for aldol condensation and following hydrogenation

A novel mesoporous Pd/cobalt aluminate bifunctional catalyst has been synthesized by a facile co-precipitation process and used in aldol condensation of furfural with acetone and the following hydrogenation of condensation products. This kind of bifunctional catalyst has good activity and can be recycled and regenerated easily.
