Determinants of River Ports Development Into Logistics Trimodal Nodes, Illustrated by the Ports of the Lower Vistula River

The aim of the analysis is to present the author's concept of the river logistics centers network along the Lower Vistula River. The concept suggests locations for river logistics centers of local and regional importance and their links with the port agglomerations. The selected locations are chosen to show the organizational and technological determinants of river logistics centers development. In particular, the subject of the factor analysis is effective transport availability of logistics centers from water and land. Conclusions and recommendations enable application of the presented methodology of development of river logistics centers in other locations.
