Siderophore transport by MmpL5-MmpS5 protein complex in Mycobacterium tuberculosis

We have presented molecular simulation analysis showing uptake and release of mycobactin by mycobacterial membrane protein large5 (MmpL5). Further, the effect of MmpL5-MmpS5 (mycobacterial membrane protein small5) complex on the mycobactin release was illustrated. These proteins are involved in iron acquisition pathway crucial for survival of Mycobacterium tuberculosis inside host cells.259
