Reactivity of 12-tungstophosphoric acid and its inhibitor potency toward Na+/K+-ATPase: A combined 31P NMR study, ab initio calculations and crystallographic analysis

In order to analyze the reactivity of 12-tungstophosphoric acid (WPA), DFT calculations have been performed and the consequent electrostatic potential values at the molecular surface of Keggin anion have been determined. The results of 31P NMR spectroscopy confirm that WPA exhibits inhibitory effect on the activity of Na +/K +-ATPase.86
