Synthesis, structural characterization and biological properties of phosphorescent iridium(III) complexes

Two monocationic iridium(III) complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized. These complexes efficiently condense DNA at micro-molar complex concentrations and specifically stains the nucleus of the cells.162
